| There are a wide variety of "systems" available on the market – however we are very selective. |
As experienced specialists we narrow the selection down to the best four. We are trained and registered holders of the Stonehealth JOS/TORC and DOFF cleaning systems and over
90% of our work is performed with these two systems alone. |
| We will also use, where appropriate: |
| • |
Traditional Nebulous Water method |
| • |
Specialist Poultice cleaning. |
| The JOS/TORC and DOFF systems are industry recognised and are most frequently specified for conservation projects of a listed and historic nature. |
| DOFF |
| The system is very different in action from other “steam” or “hot water” systems. “Super-heated” (up to 150c) water exits the nozzle (not just hot: 70-90c). With the operator having full control over pressure and temperature settings, this system dramatically reduces water consumption yet produces effective and economic cleaning. |
| JOS/TORC |
| This system is recognised as utilising a swirling vortex for gentle yet effective cleaning. It combines a mix of low air pressure, a small amount of water and a safe inert powder material. With its range of inter-changeable nozzles, this system lends itself to almost any cleaning requirement. |
